Cameron LNG Announces Passing of Chief Engineering and Construction Officer

HOUSTON – It is with great sadness that Cameron LNG announces the death of our colleague and friend, Farid Bogani, Chief Engineering & Construction Officer for Cameron LNG, who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 18, at Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles. “Farid had world-class talent and capabilities in LNG liquefaction and he led our company’s efforts in the execution of the Cameron LNG liquefaction project in Hackberry, Louisiana with great passion and dedication,” said Farhad Ahrabi, Chief Executive Officer of Cameron LNG. “He worked tirelessly and had an unwavering commitment to safety.” With more than three decades of global experience in LNG project development and management, Bogani’s background made him a valued team member of Cameron LNG. In addition to his time with Cameron LNG, Bogani’s experience encompassed work in several continents with assignments in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa. Bogani’s career spanned multiple engineering and managerial assignments with Woodside Energy Ltd., Shell Gas and Power, Nigeria LNG, Brunei LNG Ltd., and more. Bogani is survived by his wife and two daughters.
