Chief Operating Officer
Dan Callens is the Chief Operating Officer for Cameron LNG, LLC.
Dan oversees all activities relating to the operation of the existing liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal. He also has primary responsibility for establishing the Operations and Maintenance organization, the management systems and work processes to achieve safe and reliable long-term operation of the new LNG Trains, which are under construction adjacent to the existing terminal.
Dan has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in a variety of engineering, field and plant operations, maintenance, startup and commissioning assignments, including executive level capacities and extensive global experience. He brings extensive global experience in a wide range of locations and mix of hydrocarbon production experience that includes the Caspian Region of Kazakhstan (Arctic sour oil & gas), Papua New Guinea (LNG – sweet gas), Qatar (LNG – sour gas), Sakhalin Island (Arctic oil & gas), Prudhoe Bay Alaska North Slope, California heavy oil, West Texas CO2 tertiary recovery and offshore Gulf of Mexico.
Dan is originally from South Louisiana and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, as well as, an MBA from Tulane University.
